After having banned Trump from Meta social platforms (Facebook, Instagram) the first time around, Mark Zuckerberg is the latest to kiss the ring. During his campaign, Trump threatened to punish Zuck and Meta.

But now, likely in the wake of Elon Musk riding shotgun to Trump, Zuckerberg is hopping on the appeasement train. He met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago and pledged $1million towards Trump’s inauguration fund.

Trump’s incoming deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, said “[Zuckerberg] made clear that he wants to support the national renewal of America under President Trump’s leadership.”

Meanwhile the last of the tech giants to capitulate to Donald Trump is of course Jeff Bezos. Bezos congratulated Trump for “an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory.”

Absent his signature “honking laugh”, Bezos said with a straight face, “What I’ve seen so far is that [Trump] is calmer than he was the first time and more confident, more settled.” He added that he’s actually very optimistic this time around.”

It remains to be seen which Silicon Valley company will have the contract for data warehousing of the roundup of undocumented immigrants and Trump’s political enemies.

One comment on “Zuckerberg wants to play in the Mar-a-lago Clubhouse too!
