Soon-Shiong and his family were major donors to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign. The paper’s editorial board penned a piece criticizing Trumps picks for cabinet positions and urging the Senate to properly perform their confirmation process. However, it was nixed by Soon-Shiong and replaced with a fluff piece entitled “Donald Trump has a chance to become a true education president“. Soon-Shiong has been fostering an atmosphere at the paper more favorable to Trump, according to LA Times staff, leading to the departure of three employees, including major op-ed contributor Harry Litman. It would seem that he is one of the many falling like dominos in a race to be more ‘balanced’ in the wake of November 5th’s mandate of fascism.
