As the scramble for big business to shower Trump shower Trump with money to curry favor with his incoming administration, crypto companies including Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken, Robinhood and Circle have made seven-figure donations to Trump’s inaugural committee since Election Day.

The crypto-currency industry is no stranger to lobbying. It has already heavily funded a Super PAC to help elect pro-crypto Congressional candidates on both sides of the aisle. But “kissing the ring” is another matter, affirming the concentration of power of the executive in our Federal Government.

Trump is ostensibly the first ‘pro-crypto’ President. Collectively, crypto companies have funneled $10 million into the Trump inaugural fund.

In suitable fashion, Ripple made their donation in the form of digital tokens.
