February 8, 2025 | Meek Resistsky | Leave a comment Members of Congress amassed outside the entrances of the U.S. Treasury and the Dept. of Education this week and we’re blocked from entering. In the wake of Elon Musk and his entourage being let loose within Federal institutions in a hostile takeover of the U.S government, Democratic Congressmembers are receiving demands to “fight harder” from their constituents. Their offices are reportedly being swamped with 1,500 calls per minute on average, in contrast to a mere 40/minute in normal times. This is a pivotal moment in whether our system of government remains intact and there will be enough checks and balances activated to keep the structure of the US government from being dismantled. As discussed here before, in past instances of elected executives converting their democracies into autocratic regimes, dissolving or neutering the power of the legislative branch was what cemented it. Although paused for now, Trump has sought to freeze federal funding… Effectively choking Congress of oxygen by doing an end-run around their power-of-the-purse*. And he is reportedly quietly not complying. Democratic legislators must STOP ASKING for access and transparency. It’s a great show that they are amassing at the entrances to these buildings. But it’s time that they manifest access and oversight physically. Rent a Chop Saw and cut through the locks. Start scouting for purged federal employees who know the systems, along with InfoSec experts, and enlist them to come on-site to survey the damage and compromise. Sit-ins and singing kumbaya ain’t gonna cut it this time, lefties. *If this link is broken, then you know we’re fucked. Will the Other Two Branches Dare to Push Back Against Trump?
